¡Salsa!

There is a big conspiracy theory going on with the salsa at Chipotle. Everyone is calling it all these different names, but is there a specific name for the mild salsa, or is it pico de guyo? Well, in this blog I will inform you on the correct names of the salsa so you will never be confused again.

Mild: Everyone calls this salsa pico de guyo, but it is in fact not because it does not have garlic in it. It is just simple mild salsa.
Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa: This salsa has a nice smoky, rich flavor to it. It is my personal favorite. It is otherwise known as medium.
Tomatillo Red-Chili Salsa: This is the hottest salsa chipotle uses. This is otherwise just known as hot salsa.
Roasted Chili Corn: This is the corn mix. But it is also otherwise known as medium chili-corn.
Fajitas: These are the roasted pepper and onions. Some call them veggies, some ask for the peppers, but the actual term is fajitas (according to chipotle).

  1. Thanks for the blog post Lance! I never knew the differences between the salsas at Chipotle, so thank you for answering my questions! One question I have, is what are your favorite salsas, in order from 1-5? Also, is it fun to work at Chipotle? Thank you again for this awesome and informative blog post!

  2. Thanks for the blog post in the difference of salsa. I love chipotle. I go there to eat often and I get different salsa every time I go there but it also depends what I get to eat.
